An exquisite late 19th-century French loveseat made in the taste of grand Louis XVI, curated in Provence, France. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid walnut with a square-shaped back with scroll arms showcasing a naturally aged, rich patina with intricate hand-carved decorative garland and acanthus leaves accents. Topped with intact finials and traditional Louis XVI bow tie detail. Framed with turned reeded columns and spindles on the sides and back. The bench has been upholstered in needle point floral tapestry, clean-finished with nailhead trim. The seat is supported by elegant tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet typical for Louis XVI chairs. The front legs are also decorated with carved rosettes on the corners—excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classic French Neoclassical silhouette.
